Screen bowl centrifuge has very high application requirements in pharmaceutical companies, so it needs to meet the relevant standards of GMP. In order to produce a compliant product, the following actions need to be taken:
Housing seal:
Most of the screen bowl centrifuges used in pharmaceuticals are used in relatively small closed workshops, so the centrifuges need to have better airtightness. The upper cover of the shell is processed with a slot for installing the sealing strip, and the corrosion-resistant silicone strip is used, which has good elasticity. After the upper cover is closed, the upper cover is locked by locking the handle, so that the sealing strip is pressed tightly, so as to realize the effective airtightness of the shell and prevent the odor during production from escaping and affecting the surrounding environment.
Housing Seals:
The seal of the bearing seat needs to prevent liquid or gas from penetrating into the bearing seat during the operation of the screen bowl centrifuge, causing corrosion damage to the bearing. The large nut of the main shaft is processed by corrosion-resistant material (stainless steel or titanium alloy), and the sealing ring is processed under the nut for sealing. Bearing housings are generally sealed with oil seals. These measures can prevent liquid or gas from penetrating into the bearing seat during the operation of the centrifuge, causing corrosion damage to the bearing.
Installation of additional devices such as feeding pipes, washing pipes, drain pipes, observation mirrors, etc.:
Additional devices such as feed pipes, washing pipes, drain pipes, and observation mirrors should be airtightly connected with quick connectors and standard airtight flanges to improve the airtightness of the equipment.
Sealing of the working area of the drive belt:
A protective cover is set at the motor end to improve its safety in use. At the same time, the running area of the transmission belt should be sealed to prevent the rubber pin of the belt from leaking.
The screen bowl centrifuge should have an online cleaning function, which can realize the internal cleaning of the equipment. Generally, the method of installing the washing pipe is used to realize all-round cleaning, including the bottom of the drum, the inside of the shell and the outside of the drum. The position of the discharge pipe is equipped with a three-way joint, and a valve can be installed to realize the separate discharge of liquid washing and equipment cleaning to prevent cross-contamination.
